Power Of Spoken Words

In the beginning God (Elohim) created the Heavens & the Earth. From this time onwards the Word (Logos) always spoke out creation when the Father directed him to create by means of the Holy Spirit. Every created act that is recorded is that God 'said' as each created event took place, so every created thing started with Words. Then in Genesis 1:26 a verse that lets us know that God was not alone, is when he said "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over...."

From this time onwards Genesis shows there were at least 3 distinct entities or personalites that are GOD. We later learn that God is comprised of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and that are all ONE.

Luke 1:34

The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

John 15:26

“When the Helper comes, whom I [Jesus] will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me . . .”

Acts 7:51-60

When Stephen was about to be stoned to death for telling the religious leaders they were ever resisting the Holy Spirit and they had killed their Messiah, he had a vision of heaven. He saw the glory of God with Jesus standing at his right hand side. The stones then started flying. As Stephen fell, "he prayed, 'Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. Lord, don't charge them with this sin!' (Acts 7:51-60)

Despite seeing the glory of God, Stephen prayed to Jesus as 'Lord'. This is highly significant. No doubt Stephen remembered Jesus' words of assurance, "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it (John 14:14). He also said "But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (v26) Jesus also said, "I, when I am lifted up, will draw all men to myself (John 12:32). Calling upon the name of Jesus, as Lord, was an act of worship. Prayer is an act of worship. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all bound together in the worship of Christians. All three are adored and reverenced. We cannot even pray properly without the Holy Spirit's enabling us (2 Cor 5:2-5).

Praying 'in the name of' someone is not a mantra, or a way of getting a method to work. Prayer is not a means of manipulating the Almighty - it is an indescribable privilege in communing with the Holy God. As the GodHead communes at all times with the whole Body, so Christians are called upon to adore all three Personages. We can address our prayers to the Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit knowing that all three are equally interested in our cry’s and in our praise, and that all three are actively involved in the outworking of prayers that are in accord with God's will.

The above section is all about Spoken Words, such as 'Prayer Words', ' Jesus said; 'everything I have said to you' they are all powerful and are spoken out to 'create' what we want to happen in our lives and others we pray for.

For instance; look at Mark 11:13 - 26 where Jesus Christ cursed a Fig tree, because it did not have any fruit on it. Sometime later when they returned the same way, the disciples noticed that the tree had withered up. So Words have POWER.

Many words that are spoken out, can be curses without even knowing it. For instance, when a Father or Mother says to their Child, YOU WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING, this is a curse over the Childs life.  When an angry person says in anger, I HOPE YOU DIE, or HOPE YOU GET......A SERIOUS ILLNESS....fill in the blanks. These are all curses.
